Hello all,

I am thinking to pickup a laser bore sight to start zeroing my new Eotech EXPS with my AR15.
Since I cant go to the range anytime soon, is it worth to zero the Holo with the Laser Bore sight?
Wonder how accurate can it be. Im not looking at the $80+ they selling at Cabela's, was thinking just to get some Chinese made.

Or would you recommend just going to the range and do it the old fashion way?

cheers,
Herb

SiteLite Mag has software for beam offset calculation and target printing. You have to give it at least 10m for proper sighting. The closer the calculated target range is the less accurate the result. Also you need to know line of aiming over the bore distance.

Abysmal results outdoors. Sunlight washes out the dot.

You can rough sight it in at home. Pop the upper off, remove the BCG. Sit the upper on some books or block of wood and sight down the barrel from behind. Center a target in the middle of the sight picture. Without moving the upper, adjust the optics so that it is aligned with the same sight picture. That ought to get you on paper at the 50yrd range.

At the range, setup the rifle on a rest, take aim at the target and fire a round. Recenter the optics on the original target again. Without moving the rifle, move the crosshairs to the point of impact. Fine tune is required.
