Zero's

So there are clearly many opinions regarding rifle/carbine zero'ing, and seems lots of folks tend to gravitate towards the 100m zero.
I recently came across a few videos arguing in favour of a 36yard zero which seemed to make quite a bit of sense. Now clearly the zero will depend on your intended purpose, i.e long range, close quarters, etc, but I'm curious what those of you who are typically confined to an indoor range have chosen as your zero.

My preference would be something where I'm not having to guesstimate holdovers, etc...

Thanks in advance.

All my AR's are sighted with a 50/200m zero. Seems to be the most common with tactical shooters, works great for me. Havent had any issues engaging steel plates or paper out to 300m.

The 50/200 zero is for 5.56/223 using reflex sights or iron with a barrel 14.5 and up, having a regular AR15 sight over bore height of 2.6". it is highly publicized because it is the simplest to explain and the easiest to execute without understanding ballistic table - most ranges have a 50m range, but not some odd numbers like 36.

Ideally, the best zero using a 2MOA dot is one that have the POI hitting the bottom of the dot at 200m. This means at 100m the POI will be near the top of the dot, and anything in between 100 and 200m will fall within the dot. This is how one will take advantage of the flat trajectory of a 223/556 cartridge.

I used this to help determine which zero works best for me.
Before, I used 25/100yd but now I used 50/200yd
