ZF 41 Questions

My friend bought a bunch of tools from a widow. This was included in the bundle. It took him a second to figure out what it is. He's not a gun guy so he offered it to me. I have a kar98 that has been drilled and needs a bolt (also, does anyone have a bolt?) Would it be a waste to put it on my gun or should I sell it to someone who would appreciate it? If that's the case what's a fair market value?

how clear are the optics? is the post still there? how much is still remaining?

The post is there. The clarity is somewhere between mud and Nightforce.

I would consider it a collectible, not a scope for shooting. hold it at arms length and look at something outside, 50-100 meters.
as the posts were painted on the glass and there 75 years old they tend to flake off with recoil.
as for price, you should look on german militaria sites.
