So, the first annual U.N.D.E.A.D. Zombie Action Shoot was a rousing success! I personally feel extremely proud to have been part of this. In all, we had 31 shooters participate, as well as some interested onlookers and administrative staff. What I am most proud of is the fact that among the 31 were 2 people who had never fired a gun before! 1 of those was a woman who was just visiting Canada, so I think she'll have some interesting stories to tell when she gets back! Also, 14 of the 31 were non-members of C.H.A.S. (Canadian Historical Arms Society), so many people were introduced to the Genesee range and facilities. We had an excellent spectrum of shooters, from young teens to seniors, and quite a number of ladies in addition to us normal fat white guys. Here are the top 5 winners:

2) Randy Ranfin 2:24.6
3) Allan Schlag 2:27.5
4) Jordan Schlag 2:33.3 (father and son team)
5) Bill Poon 2:39.9
These top 5 have received or will be receiving patches that say "Point Man" to go along with the UNDEAD patches they already received for participating. I also want to say a big thank you to GunPlumber for all his hard work on this project, as well as to his friends that stepped up to help do whatever was needed, and to provide first aid if needed. Also, thanks to our own PDPush for coming up all the way from Red Deer to participate.
If anyone is interested in setting up a shoot like this in your locale, please PM me, and I can get you all the info you need - I would like to see this expand beyond its birthplace, because it seems to be just the ticket for getting new shooters out and interested in the shooting sports, and that's what it should all be about, right?
