OMG, they lie! Call the international internet fibbing police, they'll send over the black helicopters.

The internet is full of this bs, unscrupulous people flock to internet sales because it offers anonimity, buyers assume that a shiny website equals a legitimate business, and that (FRAUD ALERT) or visa will punish offenders. Not so.

If it's too good to be true, it's false. If it's close to a regular deal, deal with a known party.

It would appear I missed this thread. I created a thread about the fake scopes they are selling here.

I came across an ad that was posted a few hours ago on Saskatoon Kijiji. The title reads: Leupold Mark 4 Scope LR/T-M1 3.5-10x40 IR-Mil Dot -NEW (you can look at if you wish by searching for just Leupold)

The pictures of this product show it has a serial number of 8888SC. I noticed somebody posted a short while after saying this was a fake scope (if it was anybody here then cheers to you). I looked and found this is a fake scope. I searched the serial number and found a thread over on OpticsTalk specifically the post made by user spystyle (dunno how to link directly to his post). He shows a picture of a fake scope that has the same serial number as the scope that is being sold on Kijiji (8888SC).

I also noticed that there are a few identical ads in Grande Prairie, Calgary, and Alberta.

You can almost always tell the crap websites by looking at the "contact us" page...it never gives an address or phone number...only a spot to email. Beware of those!

Guess they were warned. Now all the scopes say REPLICA of the Leupold scopes. Still wouldn't buy from them though. The really cheesy site and no real contact info is a big red flag.
