Zoom ring way too tight

Is it possible to loosen a zoom ring in a scope ?? I have a fire field 1-6 scope and the zoom ring is very tight, I’m wondering if I loosened the small bolt on the ring if it makes it a touch looser and easier to turn ??

No idea on that one. I have a few vortex viper hs scopes that are super hard to turn as well.
I haven't tried adjusting the screws. Just felt with it.

I’ve had a few older scopes that became hard to zoom. I assume it’s the grease drying out a bit. I don’t know if it’s recommended but a thin lubricant and working the dial has worked for me.

No adjustment for tightness that I aware of. Get used to it...

If it's 'new & under warranty' I'd contact Firefield. Or just loosen it a bit to see.

Back the screw out in the picture a part turn.won’t take much.If it’s an adjustment screw. On a couple of mine doesn’t help with tension. I had one that loosened up after some use.

Ya it’s new and never used yet, just mounted it a week ago or so. I sent them a email asking if there a way to adjust it or such or “lube” it so we see what they say

And there is a throw lever on it and it’s that tight still, I have one on another rifle and it’s great but this is still like realllly tight

It will only get worse when it’s cold. I would send it back.

I've used zip ties as improvised throw levers

parts are sealed with orings, a good contact makes for a good seal
A couple drops of silicone lubricant between the moving parts may help some

Does anyone else have this scope and find the zoom ring to be tight by chance ??

Ya I’m just waiting to hear back from them as to what’s next whether they need more info or if they’re gonna have me send this one back and send me another
