Hey Blue Line ..

I bought one of these kits from FOC a few months back, dropped it in, fired maybe 300 rounds or so......i pulled it apart to clean it today and my buffer was shredded....is it an important piece or can i get away without using it?...i still have the factory plastic one....but what gives.....100$ for the kit and the buffer doesn't last more than 300ish rounds ? the metal pieces are great though, better look , more accurate...any help appreciated ...Thanks

You can run your gun without the zrts buffer, it won’t harm it.

When I was buying the ZRTS kit a few years ago for my GSG 1911 I also bought separately a red plastic buffer (I guess Teflon?). It was not a part of the ZRTS kit at that time like the black one which is included in the kit now. My red buffer has already about 2,000 shots on and still looks like new.
I noticed that those red buffer are not on the website anymore or I miss it?

Yeah, we think they discontinued the red buffer, now the kit comes with a buffer. But again, the original GSG buffer can be re-used if memory serves me right.
 
Gentlemen .....thats what i did...i put the original back in with the zrts kit.....not gonna hastle a warranty with blueline over something i can fix or substitue myself....runs great though...happy with it....

Great! The original GSG buffer is of good quality, you are not missing out.
