Any recommendations for sights on M2? I'd just like some simple ones that attach to the rib cleanly/easily and are adjustable. Thoughts appreciated

Do drilling or anything permanent

I just use the front bead. It's a shotgun, not a rifle. If you have a good patterning load, being off the "bull eyes" by a couple inches doesn't matter.

Might want to check out Tru Glo. That have a front and rear sight system that attaches to the rib of your barrel. I had a set a couple years ago on a Stoeger 2000. They worked quite well and are adjustable for windate and elevation.Would recommend them. Also they just clamp onto the rib. Thus they are not permanent and are removable.

I just installed a set of tru glo on my ribbed 870. Took 5min. Cost $30 you unscrew your bead and screw in te attachment. The rear sight is held on using metal brackets. Not really adjustable but they line up nicely. Not permanent.

Dead ringer - beard buster. Still waiting for DVD so
I can get the turkey license.

If they are not adjustable and your gun patterns 6" left and 4" high are you going to remember to hold 6" right and 4" low?

They are lined up on the barrel. If the gun is 6" out then it's not straight lol. Taking the rear off would make it so you had a green pin instead of the steel ball. The adapter plate forces the rear sight to sit centered on the rib. Once I get the chance to try these out I will provide better feedback. I've used the two pin rear with a single pin front with no issues.

Tru-glo attachments should work well. As already suggested, use of just the factory bead may produce the same results. The M2 is equipped with a red bead anyway and that makes it comparatively easier to "aim" with.....last week, I patterned a 20ga Nova at 40 yards and the factory bead served fine although my eyesight is far from perfect at this point in time.

I have the same set on my SXP and they can be adjusted for windage albeit crudely (similar to older bow sights). Basically loosen the screws and physically adjust the site. Elevation is adjusted by moving the rear side forward or backward on the rib.

I put mine on, and patterned it on the weekend. It shoots high at 30 yards but I would generally hold over the head anyways. Holding the bead on the head produced a perfect patter with no shot in the body. I love this sight
