Just got back from the forest trail entrance. We took the last of last Falls venison scraps (weasel lunches) out there for the needy. Don't want to attract rodents and such if Spring is really coming. There have been a few skunks around already. The temps are going to get above the freezing point pretty soon, I'm lead to believe, however, I'll believe it when I see it. Anyway, the question is: are the hides/furs from yotes and foxes not worth anything nowadays? We just saw 2 large yotes and a small fox out there stone cold dead and each with a wire snare around their neck! Somebody has just dumped them off.

Coyotes were about $100 avg, fox $70 or so, but the fur isn't prime anymore now for the last few weeks, so worthless. It's just population control now. :)

Those would be some friggin sweet personal averages. Fox is a bit high(more like $50avg) but that price is about right for western coyote. Are those your averages bear?

A buddy got those for a half dozen red fox he shot/trapped, I don't generally go after them as there aren't that many around here and they're not a predator I'm concerned about that would harm deer, etc. I hear silver fox was pretty high, but they're like hen's teeth.
Coyote average was just over $100, and that's with a few "damaged" ones that brought the average down quite a bit, though sales were slower this year. Canada Goose parka sales must be slipping. :D
