any feedback pro's\cons of these rifles ? I would like but cant find yet a "MVP thunder ranch " any ideas ? I would use this rifle for coyote hunting and target shooting. thanks in advance for the input.

I had the varmint 24" model and was pleased with it. Very accurate (for a stock rifle in that price range), i put about 600 rounds through it in he year i had it with no issues.

Pro's: heavy barrel, good stock, AR-15 magazines (LAR-15's worked flawless), descent trigger, Accurate (MOA out to 300 yards),

Cons - The trigger couldn't be adjusted as light as they claimed, it did however break clean and consistent. Lots of slop in the bolt/ action, AR-15 magazines means you're limited to 2.260 COAL if you're a reloader. 1:9 twist, I would prefer a 1:7 or 8

Haven't shot one yet, but I had a look at one of the laminate varmint models. Seems to be the best put together Mossberg rifle I've seen since they started building bolt actions again. I'd like to try one out. Some guys are claiming pretty good accuracy out of them.

I have the 24" varmint combo that came with the rifle and scope. I had to replace the bipod with a Harris version what had the swivel/tilt, but the scope actually isn't too bad (obviously not world class, but not total crap).

The rifle, for this price range, is absolutely amazing compared to what you would buy even 5-10 years ago. Mechanically, the only thing that feels sloppy is the bolt action when it is fully to the rear (it wobbles). Overall, though, the trigger is great, the body of it is great, and most importantly, the accuracy is way better than 95% of shooters. I don't even really have to take my time with marksmanship principles to get 2" groups from 100. Trying even a bit to slow down and take your time and you're getting 1" goups.

The only limitation with it is due to the nature of what this style is; a varmint gun is meant for stationary shooting. The pistol grip angle and thick barrel are best from seated, or possibly prone, because I'm a pretty big guy, but this thing is not meant for walking around and firing from the shoulder.

Where are they all?

I'd like to get one of the MVP 'Predators', but I have not seen one here on The Island. Our LGS has had a 'Varmint' in the shop for awhile now, but I failed to like how little clearance there was between the scope and the raised bolt knob. The Predator, Scout, and Flex have been in shops in the USA for quite a while now, so why not in Canada?
"Da Fuq??"

Can anyone explain to me why they're not available here, or when they might be expected?

I have the 24" and like it a lot. It has dropped several coyotes out to 250 yards this year. Hunting or range time, great little rifle.

X2 very affordable accurate cheap to feed rifle! only complaint is the slop in the bolt and slop in the magwell but it never interfered with the function

when running prone the bolt slop was a little irritating using the bolt handle so instead of grabbing the bolt handle I'd just use an open hand and push straight forward with my thumb on the back of the bolt itself which going straight forward removed the feel of the slop and made it much more enjoyable

as for the mag well.. I tried some of the ATRS 10 round pistol mags and couldn't get them to seat but my metal LAR mags and the 5/30 that came with my AR are flawless.
