XCR L keymod question

anywhere LOL and after I get my XCR. hopefully lynx lake will be accessable soon. otherwise I can buy a day pass at the range I guess

sunday mornings work best for me as my wife works sunday afternoons (gotta watch the kids). I prolly wont be going out untill I have my XCR tho.

I'm finding it difficult to source keymod compatible parts in Canada. Or anywhere other than Noveske to be honest. I am trying to get a keymod qd attachment for a sling without paying $40 for shipping!

Get from Airsoft sites! Just google keymod rail and some come up. They're all steel or aluminum and metal is metal. I believe they're exactly the same as the regular stuff, it's just made in china. You're not mounting optics on them so it's not like it really matters.

Thanks I'll have a look.

I said airsoft sites, because that's the only place with quite a variety of product for keymod. The alternative: the US, have a lot of sites that don't sell to Canada which is a pain in the ass.

Ya I ordered a keymod QD from an airsoft site just now. It was $10 plus $13 shipping. Better than trying to get it from Noveske but I am pretty skeptical as to whether I can trust the quality to hold an all metal gun on a sling vs all plastic airsoft replica. I guess we'll see.

I found a dealer here in bc that sells keymod picatinney rails. To the guys that have the xcr keymod how many slots or how long is the bottom of the forend? I want to order the correct size.

There are 9 key slots and the bottom of the forend is maybe 8 inches. Dont have a tape measure on hand right now to be totally sure. Just a heads up when you get your new xcr check the barrel to make sure it is straight in the receiver. Mine is slightly to the right and cant be zeroed in. A few others have the same problem. Im sending mine into Wolverines to be sorted out. There is a post in this forum about xcr bent barrel. Love the gun otherwise. Really badass!

Ordered a QD keymod attachment from Trigger Airsoft and it is a pretty burly little piece for 10 bucks however, obviously plastic airsoft hand guards are made of thicker material than my XCR because the hardware included won't even come close to tightening down enough to pinch the metal. I'd have to grind off an 1/8 inch off the bottom keynut for it to attach securely. If I had a decent belt sander, it would be no problem. Just an FYI.
