So I had some pieces of various mossbergs laying around and decided to kinda put em together for a tactical build.

Here's the specs:

Lakefield mossberg 500
7 shot mag tube
20" barrel
ATI heat shield with ghost ring sights and side rails
ATI scorpion recoil reduction pistol grip adjustable 6pt stock
4 shot side saddle

Comes out to about the same length as a stock mossberg 500 w/ 18.5" barrel.

Ya.. I get bored.

The heat shield is cheesy, but the worst thing I can say is that pistol grip stocks don't work well with top-mounted safeties.

pretty nice! I'd take it, if somebody were offering. How do you like the pistol grip with the mossberg style safety? I hear some people think the mossbergs are no good with pistol grips.

I have to agree about the pistol grip stock. If anything, its less tactical now. And no offence, but I detest the M4 stocks on pretty much any rifle, other than an AR-15. But their especially bad on shotguns IMO. Put a speed feed stock on there, and ditch the heat shield. Just my .02

Very cool and fun looking. Hey, it's gotta work for you and your budget, your game, your purposes (zombie, bear, deer, moose, elk, truck, quad, motorcycle, etc), your look cool factor, and finally yer ego! :D

Thanks for the advice (all of you) about top tang mounted safeties and respective pistol grips. I'm an 870 egomaniac and I never thought about that. All good learning. :)

Cheers and keep helping dem nooobs out there!
