Damn I like these pistols! I first received the 9mm Commander in a trade and I liked it so much I had to buy it's big brother the Thunderbolt in 45. I always thought of them as a stainless Norinco until I bought one, they definitely are a step up for a little more money. Not knocking the Norinco's though as I still have 4 of them and they function great but the fit & finsh on the Sam's are superior. I have had the 9mm to the range and it's an accurate little pistol. I just received the Thunderbolt and can't wait to try it out!

Is that Thunderbolt the V2, with the polished frame? I have the Omega 6 9mm and I wish it came in stainless. I am getting the Thunderbolt very soon. Give us a range report when you can, I know a couple other people who are contemplating the purchase of one also.
 
It is the V2, looks a lot better in person than in my pictures! lol. With the checkered mainspring housing and frame it feels really solid in my hand. It's just like my commander with a good trigger and a crisp safety.
 
I have had this Commander-E for some time now, the only problem I have had with it was a weak mainspring which was easy to replace. This is one of my most accurate guns and I get consistent groups every time with it.

i joined the club after my dad did.
we both decided to try the smaller ones.
he went with the Titan (officer size) and a Tactical commander and i went with the tactical commander as well.
really like the fit and finish of these guns.

very happy with mine.

I find it comfortable in my hands. I have used them before and liked the finger grooves. It doesn't add that that much more to a single stack pistol. I would also say that I have average sized hands.
 
I want to be in this club...and I will, when I come back from Costa Rica. right now, I need to save for spending money. trip's already been paid for...but I'd like a couple grand to be frivolous with!
 
I have a 9mm mil enhanced on the way from Wolverine. Anyone know what the dimensions are for the sights in case I wanna replace them? It's my 1st 1911 so I'm a bit ignorant...
 
The sights are Springfield. I have the Omega 6, and went with the Hi Viz fiber optic front and rear, from Wolverine. They are great. I believe it was these. Not sure, because I ordered it from Wolverine with the sights on it. Just call and ask them.
 
The Enhanced Military 1911 9mm comes with Novak style sights which I have found to work quite well, they are dovetailed in place...not sure if they are a standard size dovetail though?
 
I got an omega 6 in .40s&w, and now a SS Commander in 9mm. Very impressed with both and will be adding a thunderbolt shortly.
