Anyone know anything about this rifle, KAC SR-15E3 IWS 16" CARBINE MOD 2? Please I need advice, I don't want to make another costly mistake on an AR.

It's a great rifle. You will see 100% function with it.
Only negative is that for similar coin you can build something similar with a noveske stainless barrel, and it will have the edge in accuracy vs the chrome lined on the rifle you are looking at.
But you can't go wrong with a kac, excellent quality and resale value.

The SR15 platform is probably the best overall AR 15 out there. Its E3 bolt is an improvement over the standard bolt, and will likely never break, and it will outlast the barrel.
The ambi controls are nice, as is the rail system, it has an excellent hammer forged barrel. Not match grade, but usually accurate. They have an intermediate gas system, which makes them softer shooters, especially if you add a comp.
Comes with fantastic BUIS as well. Fit and finish varies from flawless to some small handling marks, as they are built for shooters.

Yeah, KAC are basically top of the line, and that is the latest greatest AR configuration. If you can afford it, get it.

Talk to the folks at OSTS - they're the importer, and they're good folks - or talk to KevinB and ask him what the mean rounds between failure is. KAC is the home of the originators of the AR - Reed Knight worked with Gene Stoner, and they've been doing AR's ever since, they even have the original plans and rifles. If they can't give you a premium AR 15, no one can.

I've been fooled before by the internet reviews, has anyone here fired it for 1000 rounds?

I have with my SR-15 Mod 1.

Shot Federal 55gr bulk and my own 55gr reloads @ 25gr of H335 with no hiccups.

I've had one issue so far: buddy at the range wanted to try it and used his Remington UMC 55gr but that ammunition would consistently double feed and fail to eject. I don't know what the problem was with those. My ammunition works 100%.

I am way way over the 1000rd mark in my KAC....had three bad primers...0 FTF or jams

Gawd damn!!! THAT is ###Y!!!!
Makes me wanna sell my Daniel Defense to get into a KAC!!!

I've used mine for close to a 1000 rounds over a week for courses. Including in the freezing cold with blowing snow. Good accuracy but not the most accurate AR out there but works flawlessly.

UMC= weak ammo. The SR15 is tuned for 5.56 pressures. Some hot .223 works fine though. (AE black box is near the xm193 specs)

Another satisfied Mod 1 owner here. I have around 2200 rounds through mine, no FTF's or FTE's. Ammo has been mostly Norc, but also 69 and 77 gr. handloads as well.
Mod 2 has an improved gas block as well as the keymod rail, definately looks like winner to me.
As Scarheart said, it's not a tackdriver (the 14.5 sbr is by all accounts more accurate), but it will spoil other ARs for you.

I noticed I get better accuracy through mine with the heavier weight ammo loaded hotter as well. Makes sense given what it was designed for.

This is the SR25/M110, but Knight's Armament rifles have been used with US and Allied forces, LE Teams and civilians for decades.
