That's all fine an dandy, but how come they can't make a batch of AR180B's and flood the market?

Can't be THAT hard can it ?

Bring in whatever the # of guns would be for them to justify re-tooling and sell them for $699 In NR

Am I wrong ?

I bought one of these when they were brought in into the country back in 2003. It looks like the only thing changed is the pistol grip and slip ring. I duracoated mine and got rid of the Chinese plastic in favour of A2 furniture, even had M16 triangular handguards for it for that "Nam" look which I sold on the EE :( I still have the A1 butt with rubber pad. I will try and post some pic's later. But basically it has a 20" crome lined pencil barrel, No brass defector, tear drop forward assist, Mine had a straight slip ring, this one looks like the A2 delta ring. Fixed carrying handle with A1 sights. Mine is very accurate. if you can get the parts, you can turn these into Retro nam guns. Also unless these are different mine was not Milspec and some after market parts will not fit.

I like it but I'm not a fan of the fixed carry handle. I would be more interested if it was a flat top upper. Then I could swap out the stock and forend and have a sweet 20" AR with a scope and bipod.

We brought them in because of specific requests for the fixed 20" style. The problem/advantage of the AR is how many configurations there are.

How are these in terms of quality? I plan to slap some M16 Style triangular handguards on there to give it than Nam look, so even if it's a jam-o-matic piece of crap it'll still be historically accurate. Thanks for bringing these in.

its not a jam-o-matic, its very accurate. But if you want Triangular handguard you will have to replace the handguard cap with a A1 style cap.
