So whats everyones thoughts on Canams latest addition of toys? The c8 has a different barrel profile compared to the old DA 556 they had, the old DA556 had a beefier looking barrel than the new c8, the C8 barrel looks so spindly compared to the old DA. Wouldn't the heavier barrel be more accurate than the C8 with the smaller barrel? I was wanting to get one of the old DA556 with the heavier barrel but just didn't get the money in time before they sold out. What is your guys thoughts on if the barrel difference is that big of a deal or not?

Thanks for any input!

Very cool! I hadn't seen these. A1 upper is just so much better than that strap-on carry handle... :)

Barrel profile will have marginal impact on accuracy, to be honest. What matters are the particulars of the barrel construction, and you probably won't find much info on that anywhere! I wouldn't bother thinking about it much. You'd probably find more difference in barrel accuracy from one c8 to the next than you would between average c8s and average "old" DA556s.

Why do they use that weird furniture on the A1? Why couldn't they use furniture that looked like real A1/SP1 furniture? Even the stock has some weird step on the bottom.

Guess you guys don't remember the CQ311....they were around about 12-15 years ago, built in the 80's SP1 clones. Other then the #### painted finish they were decent guns, much better then these current crop M4. Cool they still offer the 1/12 twist. Nam furniture is cheap BTW and makes these look the part....don't forget the 3 prong FH too lol
