AT-15 Pistol Magazine

Agreed! Back on the rails we go. For 3 gunning this summer I wanted to play around with a new set up. Thought these couplers (CAA)that ATRS carries may be the prefect ticket! Allows me to start with 20 on the gun. Mag changes are wicked fast. Where awkward positions are had, it requires less movement and no need to reach to the chest or belt. As and aside, they fit in a double mag taco from HSGI this way. Tactical nail polish sold separately!

This is exactly what I`m planning on doing once I get a few. It`s decent setup, clean, tight, well made, and you dont`have to flip sh!t. Nice and simple.

Having spoke to ATRS at the Calgary Show, the hope is late summer. They are not rushing to put out a magazine they are not satisfied with. They want the magazine to be quality and free of any issues.

That being said, CAA is having issues of their own production wise internally that ATRS has no control over. This is also causing delays.

ATRS could rush the second run of production, release a less than quality product and get flamed for that, or they could do it right, take some time and get flamed for that. Of the two choices, if I were a company, I'd take the time and do it right rather than rush and put out a sub standard product.

Thank you for this.
We have been a tad overwhelmed since the show and have not had time to update all of the threads.

Last communication with CAA was just before the show in April, they are still working out the bugs of moving their manufacturing facility as well as the new molds for the mags. Their best estimate on the prototype mags being here is August. Once we have a bit of time to test and evaluate the new mag we will have a much better idea of when the many thousands of mags we have on order will be made, shipped and arrive.
As stated by Fenceline, we want to ensure this batch is above reproach, and we ARE at the mercy of CAA as far as timeline goes.
Are we happy this has taken 3 times longer than anticipated? Not at all! Sometimes however it takes more time to get something that is great made.
Sorry guys, we are doing everything we can on our end.

Agreed, BUT for bringing this type of product to market (completely outsourced production), I'd probably consider not announcing the product at all until first satisfactory run was actually inbound. If they were producing them in-house, they'd be in a position to make promises about expected availability. But in this case they have almost zero direct control. Consider how much flak they're taking here...

But then again, maybe the kind of people that are getting pissy about the delays are the kind of people that ATRS doesn't really want as customers... I know I sure wouldn't miss their patronage, personally. :) And ATRS seems to be plenty busy keeping their many. many very satisfied customers happy with their core products and services. Can't make everyone happy all at the same time...

The first run was put in production, and was sold well. In fact it sold out. The market demanded more, and ATRS said it would do a second run. They moved to make improvements to the design and CAA in that time moved it's facility. That move is out of ATRS control.

So they did deliver, they was demand for more from the public and atrs is attempting to deliver a better product then what was demanded.

Their job is producing quality products. That sometimes takes time. Its impatient people that are the issue. Those people are never pleased. ATRS can't improve people's patience levels.
