How is that wooden ball attached to the handle on the Lee Presses?

At work with a few hours to kill. Was going to machine a handle for a replacement.
Does anyone know it has anyone taking it off to see if it's threaded? Tapered? Glued?
If anyone could enlighten me that would be awesome.

I'm prepared to be wrong, but I think its just glued and pressed on. I'm pretty sure mine came off in my hand once wile I was using my turret press

Yup, just a wooden ball with a hole drilled into it. I didn't notice any glue, I think it's just friction held but I've been wrong before.

I made a "T" handle for my Dillon press, didn't like the ball. cut a length of dowel the width of my fist, and drilled a hole. It took about 5 mins and works great.

The ball on my classic turret press (the 4 hole one) was friction fit onto a taper, no glue or threads. It would occasionally come off so I glued it on with some polyurethane glue and it hasn't gone anywhere since.

It is applied with the snot from 362 year old dragon. The only way to remove it is to grind up some mammoth tusk, mix it with exactly .572846472 oz of Pterodactyl saliva and .833355 oz of Ogre feces.

Brush the mixture onto the joint where the ball meets the shaft and utter these words (you must utter, if you yell, scream or talk them....this will not work) "Oh great ball of Lee......RELEASE!!!!!!!!" The ball should then just pull right off.

Worked for me anyhow.
