yes who cares because it is to "my benefit".

Nice on getting that price for the press. But forget about getting any other reloading supplies there.

I have been to Sail in Ottawa many times and other than clothing or some cleaning supplies won't be buying there. I talked to a clerk at the counter and not only do they not carry handguns, powder, primer, ammunition (for handguns except for 9mm cause its popular) he was telling me that their headquarters in Montreal has a strict policy against selling this stuff.

It's just another Mountain Co-Op but with hunting rifles.

There is a sail in Burlington that I go to. They have very helpful staff and a lowest price guarantee on firearms and ammo but its a crying shame that they NEVER have a sale on firearms!!!

I when i sought a specific Steyr, the agent said she had none in stock, but offered to call every store to find one, and call me back. First class.

I went to a Sail "NO GST" promotion about a year ago. Bought a $175 product and when I went to check out, the GST was applied. When I brought it to the attention of the cashier, she adjusted the receipt to remove the tax. No apology, no remorse. The impression I was left with was that it was not an accident. That's dirty.

Stores MUST charge you the HST, so most (prolly all) actually give you a discount equal to the amount that will be the HST on your item, then charge HST on the lower price. You win two ways, 1) you pay a lower price and 2) you pay a little less HST because you're paying on a lower selling price.

As for Sail - the Ottawa store has nice coats, shoes, gloves etc. but for firearms related stuff, I don't bother any more.

Its basically a 13% off sale but somehow they've got it worked out exactly so you never pay less than sticker price but also not more.
Your not saving as much as kb007 makes it sound. I bought two items $22.99 and $69.99. My total was $92.98
