rfb and m14 post range debrief

So I just got back from the range I shot one 5 round group out my rfb and did a bit of harmonic tuning on my m14 blackfeather. I did not get exactly were I wanted with my m14 but its not to bad. Both groups were shot with surplus norinco.

Also I found out that me I can't hip fire my rfb.

Also regarding the rfb grouping, I would like to point out this is from a FAR from even proficient shooter and not reloads , not even commercial ammo but cheap surplus.

It's one thing to have a semi auto ar to shoot .75 moa with reloads but to me its more impressive to have this kind of accuracy from the ammo that I can actually afford to shoot and have in acceptable quantities. Plus its .50$ a round , not 2$.

Wolverine in 2010, it was a special edition, DS ( desert storm; due to the tan color) . I changed out the flash hider for a kel tec muzzle break, got a kidex cheek peace, urban ert sling, adm recon mount with a burris e1 3-9x40.

Your RFB shoots better with Norinco surplus than the one I tried with Federal Gold Metal Match.
Your M-305 also shoots better than mine that I've used factory and hand loaded match ammunition in.
That Norinco ammo must be amazing stuff.

You should try the 1.5 moa challenge in the main battle rifle section.

I try gold medal match in mine and it does poorly with it. It seems that my rfb damages the tip of lead tiped ammo and with that looses all potential for accuracy. But I don't know why but its great with this surplus stuff.


Also on a side note, even if my m14 is much heavier then my rfb due to the aluminum stock and magpul prs the rfb recoil is significantly lesser then my m14.
 
I would be curious to see what kind of accuracy could be drawn out of reloads and a proficient shooter.

Well with shooting like what you accomplished with your RFB (with surplus no less) I thinks it's safe to say you're a proficient shooter RallyGuy.

Just don't come back and claim they it's a 10 shoot group from a 124 metres while prone on the tonneau cover of your F-150. (right Beltfed...)

Thank you very much for the compliment, but I still have alot of lead to fling down range befor I concider myself proficient.

No they were 5 round group shot with about 5 seconds between shots. 3 bags underneath the handgard and one underneath the butt. The m14 was bipod front and bag under the butt.
 
Well since I have so much success with this stuff I went and ordered another crate, cause they are only getting pricier and I want to get it while I can since it also shoots good out the m14.

Now if I could only figure why it shoot that good?
