New batch of Type97NSR rifles have arrived!!!

Factory Mag (note the singular, not plural) worked great. Do they sell them???
XCR pinned mag worked good.

LAR 15 grey follower was a nightmare. Even loaded with 5 rounds at least one would misaligned on chambering forcing the bullet into the casing so yeah, powder everywhere.
Heard the LAR 15 with orange followers work so need to get one to try.

I am so glad for the CGN forums, I was considering purchasing one of these. Just sounds like the things that should be right aren't right.

All this talk and especially the mention of a projectile being pushed back into the casing, sounds sketchy at best, I am going to wait and see.

how long before the RCMP note it is "easily converted to full auto" ?

looks nice

i have one on order........

just hate having that crap over my head

Any chance this batch includes some Dominion Arms T97NRR's or these two creatures completely different?

Enquiring minds want to know.

no, canada ammo will be (maybe) importing the DA t97. thats like asking if there will be pepsi in the next coke shipment lol 2 different companies my friend!

^exactly. Different importers. Canada Ammo is maybe bringing in the DA T97NRR that still doesn't have an FRT#. North Sylva brings in the T97NSR.

The NSR is speculated to stand for North Sylva Rifle. NRR is Canada Ammo's variation speculated to stand for Non Restricted Rifle.

I got a 2014 production t97. the mag sits too low I got FTF every 2-3 rounds with the factory mag. I ll talk to the shop who sold it to me first to see if they can do anything about it. but I doubt it.
should have kept my 2013 t97, but I needed the damn money

Arg. I don't know where to buy to get one that works and has no gouge.

The best answer would be «don't buy one», but it's fun to shoot and it's bullpup, so it seems that the low price tag (only low when compared to a tavor!) comes with it's inherent problems, just like the norinco m14!

I bought my new batch gun partly on the better QC. My factory mag and 2 of my 10 rd mags insert and remove well. I hope I never made a $1000 mistake???? At that price it should be 100%

I have two from the first batch, that seem to have no gouge. My buddies has the gouge, and seems to shoot a little better than both of mine. He claims it has nothing to with the gouge, and that he is just a better shot, but I outrank him in Call of Duty, so I think that is unlikely. If I were to make my own gouge, do I need a political prisoner to do it, or can a well kept tax cow, like myself apply it?

Sorry to hear about ftf issues for some of you, mine both worked flawlessly out of the box. Have you tired to soldier on, and see if they "break in" after a few boxes? Just asking, I assume you all have... Mine works with every mag but... I think its CP? The magpul gen 3's needed a slight spine sanding, but honestly, they worked better with my Ar's and SL-8 afterwards anyway.

More than a few weeks, any announcement?
Barrel gouge inspection was part of the final QC process. Non of these rifle's have one. That being said, I still haven't seen one from the last batch.

No changes to how the rifle is configured at this point. Stay tuned however, we will be annoucing in a few weeks a new configuration for the 97NSR.
