AR or T97

T97 beats the AR hands down every day all week long. But only in Canada.

AR is a much better rifle, better in every way. Every way but one: You can't take your AR to the woods to hunt or plink.

T97 is a $1000 made in China rifle that should be retailing for $500 based on the poor ergonomics, poor choice for adding optics, and overall quality...by being made in China.
Personally I would never spend that kind of money on one of these.
yesssssss and f u norinco, its like why would u pick a chinese fighter plane over an f22 raptor, its just silly.

I'm waiting for someone to import the scopes that are meant for the Type 97. I don't want no aftermarket stuff. If someone knows someone who sells the original scopes, let me know because I want one.

The T97 feels really solid, but the location of the safety and mag release keep me from buying one.

So ill stick with my AR for now.

I am hoping that someone will make a tactical mag release for it. Or we get an updated rifle with one. The original type 95 has a sensible mag release.

The safety I don't care about, I don't use safety, my safety is a safe direction, trigger control, and no round in the chamber unless I want to shoot.

We stock the fore end rail system for the new T97s, they will cowitness a red dot sight as well. We have one set up in the store as a demo if anyone is local, or on the webstore, HERE.

It is a Magpul AFG installed on the RIS kit originally designed for QBZ95, I found it on an airsoft forum a year back and bought it for 350 dollars. I believe there are only a few of them been brought into Canada and haven't seen any retailers sell them tho......I personally prefer it over FTU

The RIS kit fits good and pretty tight however since the new T97NSR has a slight different front post shape than QBZ95, one of the pieces from the RIS can not be installed.

Yes Richco, I picked up the QBZ 03 scope. I don't have a ton of rounds down range with it yet, but so far I am happy with it. I am also happy with their customer service, they are pleasant to deal with. I will post a range report once I have more experience with it.

Richco, a sponsor on CGN, has them.
