Tapco "grip removal mod"?? Any details appreciated as I was considering getting a Tapco....

What he means is that you can file a part of the pistol grip down so you can remove the trigger group without having to remove the pistol grip (repeated removal could strip the threads).

Good idea, my favorite one yet is the Archangel SKS kit, but there are many more choices, we stock almost every stock kit & accessory for the SKS, HERE.

Well, could you source which Russian forum and which person ? Well, as long as the guy is willing to ship then I don't see any problem coming to Canada. It's just a stock, basically a wooden stick.

Nah ! it's an uncontrolled item. You can import it by yourself. Bringing stuff to Canada from other countries wasn't a problem except US because of its ITAR. Only control firearm part in Canada is lower receiver or receiver where serial number is, still you can import but you will need appropriate license for it.

By the way, I got quote from Russian, it's 400 $ plus shipping for SVD style wooden stock.

fair enough...alas, they don't have the stock I want, and the one they do have...it's literally 2x the price from the US, which is rather disappointing to see. <_<
