I just want my trigger
Amen.
But if it is in as rough of shape as some suggest, I am unsure of that either.
I just want my trigger
Sticker price is $400.
Definitely a worthwhile upgrade. I need to find a fish scale or something to demonstrate pull weight!
Idk. But Brian deletes every one of my comments on his forum, even if the are not rude. It is starting to piss me off, so I have a giessele on order from RDSC. Might be here in as little as 2 weeks. If it shows up before the Timney, or confirmed delivery dates are close I will be dumping my preorder with him and getting my cash back. I had ut most respect for Brian untill recently. Now he is pretty far down the list... most of the trouble has been Timney playing the second half of the first group as second fiddle to the remington owners.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
Mine dropped in, an I started plunking them in the black at 200 like clockwork - without the mental headache of trying to work through that brutal trigger pull from the factory unit... I am not going to bad mouth the Giselle or tell anyone what to do...but the Timney trigger has worked just fine for me. A coyote is taking his chances if he comes within 200 yards of this cowboy...
There is absolutely no reason it should hit me... is there?
have defended Brian religious in almost all my posts untill now against others who were blaming him for the delays. But in doing so I have pointed out that Timney is doing a piss poor job with these triggers.
I don't even want to know how someone could contradict me saying that givens how many failures to fire it is haveing, how rough around the edges and unfinished some of them look, as well as the fact that we are still paying $400 for it!
Dont even get me started on the prior delays let alone the more recent additional month delay because of the remington recall.
The saying goes you get what you pay for. Well at this rate Timney will be sending me a rebate for $50 and all I have at this point is $200 down with Brian.
Timney could have prvented all of these problems.
How you ask?
•extensively test the trigger with various brands/types of ammo. This would have caught the light primer strike issue either before, or early on into production.
•the rough finishing should have been looked after at the factory. How many lambos have left the factory with runs in their paint? None. Chevys? None. Toyotas? STILL NONE.
•the prior delays could have been prevented as will. I mean just how overly optimistic do you have to be in order to miss your short term goal/delivery date by 2+ months. And then only actually deliver the 1/2 of the triggers instead of all at once which was what I signed on for. I decided that was okay and I would let it slip, because my trigger as well as 34 others were to be only 1 week behind. Now even though our order was first, apparently there is no first come first serve at Timney, as the Remington recall has delayed our triggers untill early June.
I mean come on, have you really been feeling the love from Timney? Because I feel I am fairly close to being mugged at gun point.
Hopefully it is a Tavor with a Timney, if he is loaded with surplus I am still safer 7%+ safer than canadian gun laws make us due to the failure rate with that trigger.
I can't wait to see this trigger turn a 3-4moa rifle into a 1moa rifle
Where are the pics of targets from the guys that have theirs already?

So, you haven't figured out yet that 99% of the time anything firearms related coming into Canada is going to be late? Almost every single thing in high demand the retailers pre-sell or take deposits on based on manufacturer speculated delivery date is inaccurate. You should just be happy it's only a month or two later than they said.
As for the light springs? Well that happens a lot with many manufacturers, they have test ammo and as long as it works with that they are happy, it's an easy fix so don't sweat the small stuff.
The rough finish? I haven't seen a picture of what you are talking about but as long as it goes into the rifle and works who cares. You can't see it once it's installed.
Living in Canada we need to learn to be patient. We are always going to come in last when a manufacturer has to fill orders. We are only a small fraction of the sales they make in the US. If you were them would you take care of the local market that makes you all your money or would you send off your product through the pain in the a$$ export system in place just to make a couple dollars?

Amen.

Everything has to be accuracy for you...
Okay so enough with the pissing matches over accuracy. WHERE are you guys ordering your trigger pacs from? Direct from Timney or from Boss Hogg???
Thanks. Contacted Timney no response about shipping direct. Probably not.
