Troy T22 sport chassis

Love mine. Very expensive, but you'll be happy with the results.

I'm trying to find a good way to bolt the receiver to the rail, but there is a pretty big gap between the top of the receiver and the bottom of the rail.

You can see the ware marks on the stock where it sits against the top of the receiver.

Its a pretty big gap, around 5/8" - 11/16". You can see it better in this pic.

I'm sure they could still be bolted together, but this doesn't seem too ideal. And I'm not keen on drilling a bunch of holes into the rail unless it'll be a proper fix. The only other thing I can think of at this point is to make sleeves for the screws?

If the only benefit of doing that is to prevent the two halves from drifting apart, I think I may have a better fix. I want to add a sling, so I'm going to put a sling stud where the stock clamps together. I'll post some pics after I finish.

Did you get around to mounting a sling stud there?

T22 is just about complete. Still waiting on a mag release and tango down grip! This thing is a blast to shoot! If anyone has an idea where I can get a rail attachment so I can use my atlas bipod, I will be forever in your debt. Here's a breakdown of parts:
T22 sporter chassis
Magpul moe stock
Tango down grip (in the mail)
Battledyne mags
Kidd bolt assembly
Kidd trigger kit
Pws t3 lever (in the mail)
Tactical solutions barrel
Aimpoint comp ml2 a.r.m.s. QD mount
Vortex crossfire ADM recon QD mount
I can't wait to get to the gopher patch with this one! About 800 rounds and still no separation of the stock like others have mentioned.

Oh yeah, I was goona post pics. I almost forgot

It was pretty easy, took me about 15min. Just had to cut the stud to length, about 3/8"-7/16", then drill and tap a hole. I never really did have a issue with the two segments drifting apart. I was just being proactive, like the zit cream. And I didn't want to have to fix while I'm out shooting in the middle of nowhere.

Nice build! How well do those Battledyne mags function, as good a BC steel lips?

I've been looking for some of the Troy rail sections too, but haven't turned up squat. I understand at one point CTCS carried them (or something similar), but no longer do?

Very nice build' it's about what I'm going to do once I get the funds. How is the accuracy with this setup, or are you still just blasting away (not that there is anything wrong with that;))?

Still blasting away so far, I haven't got the scope sighted in yet, I'm waiting for a morning I can wake up early enough to beat the wind. The inards of the rifle completed the 50 yard challenge with a hogue stock, so I will likely attempt the challenge again with the troy chassis to compare.

The mags are ok, a few hicups with federal blue box, but it seems to feed and eject great with mini mags

Nice! How long is that barrel? And where'd you get it? Also, is there much of a weight increase with it? Thanks

The barrel is a tactical solutions, 16.5 inch I believe. It is aluminum, so the weight is actually less than the factory ruger barrel. I got it from wanstalls.

Thanks man, that's pretty rad. Is that a compensator at the end of it?

I'm trying to decide on an aftermarket 10/22 barrel for plinking/rabbits

Nice set-up. I have the Tacsol barrel too. Just wondering how much the gun weighs with the RDS and mag?

I'd really like an AR-15 looking .22 but as light as possible with real working AR parts.
I have the CH22 receiver so got the charging handle. Wish I could have the switch style safety.
The PWS mag release is super sweet!

I'm not sure the overall weight, but it is a heck of a lot lighter than my buddies sr-22.

No compensator, i think your seeing where the fluting on the barrel ends. I like this barrel for plinking because it is super accurate and doesn't need match ammo to be that way. It eats most anything you want to shoot good enough for any small game. I haven't tries stingers or any super fast ammo mind you.
