Ruger is a huge cost savings type of manufacturer..... They cast/stamp/mim everything they can get away with. I'm not a huge Ruger line fan....I like their rimfire pistols and rimfire rifles, but that's about it. There is a common misconception that River guns are "stronger" then other guns because they use more steel.....well its because they cast everything and have to make them bigger then their forged steel competition to get the same strength....
 
I find it hilarious that I pay some $800+ for a gun then am expected to figure out which magazines work with it, at my expense, and then people suggest i file the feed ramp myself, and even after all that am told my gun only runs round nose ball ammo. And sights fall off wtf?

mine has been perfect. Not one problem, zero!

I hope your problem gets sorted out real quick and with no problems.

I payed more than you, I payed a thousand bucks. It did come with 1000 rounds of .45acp tho :)
