Can you save an old fart a bit of time and tell me where you got the parts.
Cheers

It's gonna be a good weekend! This will be the first time out with this build, 1000x rounds should get her smoothed out just fine.

E2 Stock (unfinished-needs oil & dummy selector kit)
Garand Rear sight courtesy of the Italian connection
SEI Good Iron Brake

all the other usual tweaks...

Stock was about $250.00 to my door, came from Treeline Enterprises, same for the vented hand guard.

The stock is a bit of work.
It arrives without any butt plate, and standard M14 butt plate kits don't work. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a E2 butt plate kit, but it doesn't come with the thing that flips up (heh heh)
I picked up a limb saver type rubber recoil pad for a standard M14 stock, but the holes don't line up and I didn't want to bubba anything.

So for now, it's the E2 rubber without hinge plate, and it's actually not too bad. Perfect length of pull, and she's not going to be the beauty pageant type anyways!

Speak of the DEVIL! Was just browsing the Treeline website and saw this E2 butt plate...back-ordered but exactly what you'd need to complete an E2 build.
