Aww, I was expecting to see video from the Desert Eagle. Because of the wide angle nature of a cell phone camera, this isn't too useful as a scope. As a recording mount, it's OK. If you could add a zoom lens, maybe.
The Desert Eagle might kick the snot out of your phone though. It ain't no 597. Hopefully the 'inteli'scope mount holds the phone firmly, or you could get it right in the face.

Kewl!...but what's wrong with the sights the gun came with!? (why TF would anybody...never mind.)

Thank you for saying it. I don't even like the idea of a red dot on a pistol. The whole idea behind a handgun is that it is sleek and small. I can get behind a white light for HD duty, but jeez, a phone?

Cool... but a 597 is a .22Lr right? Could see the distortions in the video with the 'recoil' of the .22 while shouldered... will be interesting to see what kind of video comes off a .44 in your hands.

My thoughts exactly

I think I have rifles that are lighter than my 500S&W handgun... :)

I cant answer questions about the durability of the iphone4. you can look that up online. wait till I get the video up and we will see how it performs.

that's a good idea. then you can see how the set up works. I also wrote the IS guys and asked them if there is a way you can film the POV of the sight not just the camera.

what else would be cool is if you could film the front facing camera too to get the look on your face as you shoot. Sometimes I have too much fun, the larger calibers definately put a smile on my face

I have shot my DE plenty of times just not with the IS yet. its not a big deal. I don't find it any different from a .45. its just really heavy.

There is no night vision app.

my phone does not have call service but on the Iphone you don't need to hold it up to your ear to talk on it anyways.

if there is a night vision app then yes you could use night vision on it. I'm not sure if the later iphones can do night vision mine is a 4.
