I just got an xcr with the faststock but i reslly like the look of the skeleton stock. Anybody have experience with the skeleton stock. Would i be better to keep my fast stock or trade up?

Congrats on the purchase of the best rifle in the world... I personally like my fast stock and wouldn't trade up... I would try to purchase one from somewhere and I'm sorry that I can't give you info on where to go but again congrats on the Xcr!!

Put out a WTB ad on the EE and find out for yourself, but keep that FAST stock until you've decided.

IMO it's not a trade up. Negligible weight savings, non adjustable, no ability for a cheek riser unless you improvise, and nothing in the way of sling attachment outside of direct tie in.

For the record IMO the fast stock needs a hard mechanical lock in the folding mechanism to be fully reliable.

I have a few XCR's and have never kept the fast stock on it, not a fan at all. I've only owned 1 fixed skeleton stock model but I did like it better. I always replace my fast stocks with AR buffer tube adaptors as that's what fits me best.

I would recommend not selling the fast stock unless you need the funds to purchase another stock. Its always good to have the factory original pieces if for any reason down the road you decide to sell the XCR.
