Spend a little more and get a sam 1911 its amazing what you can do with 3000grit a dremel and some polish will do to a budget 1911 I personally been thinking about the compact one

The only problem with that is its not spending a little more money, its spending twice the money. A Hi-point from Ellwood Epps is only $249.

I do like that the .40SW magazines interchange between the pistol and the carbine.

Although a better combo is a 1911 and its mags modded to fit the .45acp carbine.

After 2500 rounds my friend's 9mm only has had the barrel swabbed. Still shoots perfectly fine without a single problem.
