Yugoslavian captured German K98 Mausers maybe coming in soon

Look up my post in the pistol and revolver forum about my announcing the soon to arrive .38 Enfield revolvers, this did in fact happen soon after, this post on the Yugo K98's are from the same source warehouse that coughed up the Enfields. Just trying to give members a heads up and time to save up just in case they missed out on them when Marstar had them and have been looking for one. I don't think that there is a whole lot that will be coming in, I'm not saying anymore on this subject until they arrive!

Well you've virtually confirmed it's NOT Marstar bringing them in so that's welcome news! I did miss out on the Marstar rifles (mainly because I didn't want to deal with them) so another source is excellent.

The Yugoslavs built K98's for Germany and themselves. No conversions involved. In any case, don't believe any story until you see whatever it's about. Stories about long lost warehouses full of stuff abound and are 99% horse hockey.

The conversion is scrubbing the receiver, applying the yugo crest, and Preducze 44 on the siderail.

Also could be new made stock or recycled wood. Also usually mostly renumbered and reblued.

Same 8x57mm chambering though.

An Yugo M48 is not the same as a German made K98. Parts are different. M48 is a cruder overall look and finish.

The ad implies these are German K98's with the Yugo crest added to the top of the receiver.

so Question here....why would i want the K98 refurbished Yugo mauser over an M48? at $200 more. They were built on the same machinery...

Jebem ti mater....too expensive for my tastes... would rather buy a RC than a completely scrubbed Yugo for those prices.

Some who have just got one of these are reporting excellent condition metal work and bores unlike a lot of RC ones which have very poor bores!

On the Mauser Totem Pole Scale from lowest to highest from the Ugliest to the Nicest (also known as Bestest)!

1. RC >>>> 2.Yugo >>>> 3. Vopo East German >>>> 4. Mismatch >>>> 5. All Matching
