Several weeks ago, I shot my SKS-45 at the EOSC Milsurp shoot organized my CGN members of that shooting club. I detailed my having the return spring escape in a small narrow storage room in our condo. This was explained in the EVENTS FORUM.

I then posted a WTB the spring in the EE forum. Several members responded giving me names of dealers who might have one. I went to the on-line offerings of Lever Arms in Vancouver, found the spring, placed an order by and after, found that they were also showing the UTG Model 47 sight tool at $15. (I had bought one a few years ago from a supported of CGN for $10 + $10 postage and the tool was useless!) I phoned Levers the next day, May 14th and the gentleman already had started to process my order for the spring but said that he could also add the sight tool as well and I gave him my payment information with that phone call, shipping was free, using CanPar. Levers said me the order confirmation that same day and CanPar sent the delivery information, projecting that it would be delivered Wednesday May 21st. We did not arrive home from the cottage until late afternoon, Wednesday May 21st and CanPar had left the a card saying that the driver would try again today. He arrived at 11AM.

Years ago, in the 1960s, I bought what I could afford from Al Lever in his original small shop. There were some great deals from Al. I bought a matched pair of NRA Centennial model 94 Winchesters in .30-30, the Rifle and the Musket. They were gorgeous and cost me $100 each whereas they were being advertised in the USA at $149. Both had the medallion in the stock, the finish of both was excellent and the rifle was the sweetest M94 .30-30 I ever handled.

So, my purchase from Lever Arms Service Ltd. went like clockwork. Perhaps it was because I told the man I talked with on the phone that I had know Al many years ago, I don't know? :D

As far as CanPar goes, I had no problem and would rather have shipping by them rather than DHL, a transport company owned by the Postal Department of the German state!!!

I am very gruntled! :D

The front sight tool they sell works just fine, you shouldn't any issue. It can be a bit tricky to position it properly for windage adjustment. You can file it to fix this problem.

I used a Dremel and a grinder on my el cheapo sight tool and had to wrap a layer of Teflon plumbing tape on the threads to take up the sloppy fit. So, after all that, it still is crap.

The bad sight tool I had bought from Vancouiver!

I did every thing possible to make this tool work. I used it last when there was still snow on the ground here in the east to get my SKS ready for the EOSC milsurp shoot. Much fiddling around with cold fingers and a sloppy tool. I was so miffed with this tool, that I actually too pictures of the grinding that I had to do to make it fit the end of my Tula.

The only reason that did not post them here was the problems with PB and I was going to name the dealer that sold it. Life is too short at my age to waste on such crap.

There, I've said it and I'm glad!

I bought the one from Frontier FA and it's not bad (same one as everyone else had on the net 3 years ago). Just had to trim the side as pictured to get it to sit flush.
It is certainly not a fine adjustment tool aka 16 oz hammer, but it does work. Bought a 10m bolt at Ottawa Fastener to make a
FP retaining pin removal/insertion tool with the same C clamp shaped housing.
