Wondering what you guys think about the new Axis heavy barrel?
At a msrp of $382.00 it seems like a heck of a deal for a budget target/varmint rig. Then again by the time you get a decent stock, trigger it sneaks up in price...

If you want a cheap gun buy a cheap gun

If you want a custom gun buy a custom gun

I have never understood the guys who buy something and spend all their money changing it instead of just buying the right thing the first time

Its like putting a spoiler and 35's on a Renault Le Car

OK, What is "the right thing"? Lucky for the after market world not everyone subscribes to that logic.

And that being said as far as cheap guns go these low end axis rifles are the absolute best bang for the buck
I have a 243 stainless one in a boyds stock and that gun shoots holes in holes at 100 yards all day long I have 1000 dollar guns that wont do that!!!!!!

X2. MY .223 model can put 11 rounds into a group the size of my thumbnail when I did my part.

Best bang for buck for sure and I'd gladly get more Axis rifles in other calibers based on that performance.

Yeah, but if that Renault now runs as fast and handles as good as "THE RIGHT THING" I don't see the lost! LOL, especially if it was at 1/2 the cost :)
