Pellets or scope?

A question for the airgun gurus-

I have a Ruko Jet that has always been a tackdriver for me. Recently it's wandering all over (6-8 inch spread at 25 yrds). My problem is I can't remember if this just started after I started shooting the Crosman 'Hunter' pellets in the milk carton. So before I replace my scope or have time to try some different pellets......has anyone had any issues with these pellets similar to mine?

Yes...but I don't know if its your problem. I took off the scope my pellet rifle came with, and put on a better magnification 22 scope. This should work better right ???................umm, NO. Seems the heavy spring action plays tricks with a scope "not meant for an air rifle" It has a different kind of recoil. I kept loosing Zero and had to adjust the scope every 3 shots. Put the old scope back on..problem solved.
 
Yes, I figure my scope has seen all the beating it can take since it's not meant for the 'reverse-recoil', but just wanted to see if anyone has had problems with the pellets before I scrap it.
I honestly don't see any pellet being that bad (8 inch!!)unless it's way undersize, but just want to be sure.

The scope I have on it came off a PH #4 I bought years ago. It has the German style T-bar crosshair, made by Global inc. or something similar. Fixed 4X.

Does the gun have iron sights? Could you remove the scope and check accuracy using them?
 
Haha, It has iron sights, but I'm not sure where the inserts for the front hood have ended up! I've had the scope on there for about 10 years. I may have to toss my whole house!
