Most of the time I only shoot 22LR so I'm in the market for a high quality 22 but where can I buy one? I know Nordic Marksman is an option but they charge $100 shipping so they're out. I'm not stuck on an anschutz either, if you guys can suggest another quality brand I'm all ears.

Thanks for the help.

Looking for something with an adjustable stock etc... thanks.

Also, once you add the cost of a quality scope on a CZ you're at $1000 anyways...

So what the hell do you want? A match rifle or precision sporter for free!?

One of the few lower priced rifles with adjustable stock is the Izmash 7-2 version 5. They are available from the the site sponser InterAmmo for $1150. I'm shooting personal best groups around .350 to .200" inch with mine. The only drawback to these are scarce parts and minimal factory support.

Buying a new Anschutz with an adjustable stock is going to be lots more than a G note. 64 actions start over that figure, 54 actions double the ante. How good do you need to shoot and how deep are your pockets? There were a couple on ee lately.

If you contact them and discuss the shipping charge they might adjust the price. Send them a Canada Post Calculation on the shipping charges and ask why the difference? Also explain the only reason you won't buy is the shipping price being too high. I did the calculation to my place(Oakville) and here is the link with the shipping costs. I calculated $1000 cost of rifle and package 40"x 4"x 8" weight of 10 lbs. If the package they are shipping you is bigger, heavier or the rifle is more money that is going to cost more to ship. The insurance is what is probably driving the price up the most. Their rate actually looks accurate from the calculation if I'm close.

Scott....

You driving? Got a budget in mind? If $100 for shipping is too much I'm guessing you don't want a high end rifle? Anschutz rifles can start at 2 grand and go well over 3 grand. They're not often carried in shops for that reason. Gun shops have to pay for everything they sell, usually within 30 to 90 days.
Don't discount the used Walthers Shooting Centre mentions. Buying a used rifle isn't like buying a used car. It takes great deal of abuse to damage a modern rifle.
Shipping charges are set by the carrier not the seller. Add a bunch of government stupidity for it being a firearm as well.

The Anschutz is now $859.00 and is a precision firearm. I have a SR22, VTR, ISSC with Anschutz action and just received my Anschutz RX22 this week. The Ruger and Remington are fine firearms with very little issues but the ISSC MS-22 and the Anschutz RX-22 are my favourites. They do favour premium ammo but after over 3000 rounds through the MK-22 it is getting less fussy in regards to ammo. Hope this helps. Can't go wrong with any mentioned.
