Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd pass on a little tidbit of information. After a little research I found someone who makes custom stocks for the Norinco NS-522 down in the US.

Spoke with him via email, and he's a real nice guy. If anyone is looking for one to replace that god awful stock that comes with NS-522s up here, shoot him a line.

Does he know where we can get some extra mags? :)

Chris from Canada Ammo was "pretty sure" they would be easy to source but that has not proven to be the case.... :(

$175 for solid Wood, $200 for laminate.... not bad.

Spare magazines are few and far between for these rifles. The NS522 arrived in the US circa 1996, and people have been looking for magazines for them ever since then. The Can-Am guns were stored in a warehouse somewhere for years; all the while, owners of these rifles in the US were looking for magazines for them. Easy to source they are not. Good luck in your search!
 
The bummer for me I I bought the Gun directly from Chris at a gun show, they were sold as "seconds" for less then full retail but only came with one mag.
Like I said he told me it should be easy to find a spare mag and parts etc but that's just not the case.
Good thing is the gun works fine, bad thing is I wish I'd paid the regular price and gotten a second mag.
