AR-15's

My NEA 15 build.

NEA upper, lower, BCG, guts, barrel, BUIS, and hand guard.

Barrel is 10.5" heavy with "The Pig"
12" Hand guard.
EoTech XPS-2 Zombie.

I had some issues with it at first but NEA was excellent to deal with. It was fixed in short order.

I wonder if any manufacturers would gamble, make a 18" barrel and if it falls through, they could just chop and rethread to 16"

It's restricted by name. Not barrel length. So if it is turned Non Res. All barrel lengths should be fine. Because it's classified by name barrel length shouldn't come into play. Think Rossi Ranch hand

Umm.... No. It would just fall under the regular classification and have to be 18.5 inch plus to be non-restricted since it is semi-auto.

All semi auto centre fire rifles have to have a barrel length of 18.5 inches to be non restricted.

Rossi ranch hand isn't semi auto is it? Think tavor, xcr, all have an 18.5 inch barrel to be NR

Yeahhhh, should an act of God finally revert the AR back to non-restricted status, minimum barrel lenght of 18.5" IOT maintain non restricted status would still apply, since it is a semi-auto centerfire. (Unless they change that law as well.... We are dreaming, right?)
