$1000ish NR black rifle choices?

Thanks for the replys. There is a lot of good advice here and I will probably hold off for a bit before I make a decision. I might just save for a Tavor or XCR. I am not really in a rush to purchase something as my work schedule leaves me little free time.

Smart man! I did the same thing. When I joined in October I asked all the same questions and started threads like "nr black rifle under 1000?" Then I took advice from people like cr5 to save for something better. And after many many months of saving I had enough to buy an xcr last month. But then decided if I wait another month or two I can just buy a tavor! So that's the plan. I hope in 3 weeks I'll have enough saved to buy a tavor and crate of ammo. Then starts the saving for an aimpoint comp m4 :)

And knowing that I worked my ass off for something I really wanted is going to make it that much better when I get it!

What do you mean there is no best answer???

I bypass my XCR and T97 for the precision rifle, technically it is black and is a NR rifle.
 
Those used DPMS AR's that IRUNGUNS was selling for $499 last week should be available used for a little under $800 next week.
 
Black Tapco'd SKS for non-restricted. For the price, they are quite ergonomic and a great value.

Add 3 crates of x39 and you are set for a while.
