Does anyone know where I can purchase some 303 British bullets (just the projectile)? Budget shooter supply only has the Hornandy round that is $44.00 / 100. I am looking for something a bit cheaper!

I have talked to bass pro and Rouge river firearms and they don't carry any 303 reloading supplies anymore.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kev

I have always had good luck loading any of the 123 gr 7.62x 39 bullets the bore is 311 so for an enfield with a good bore i find they track well . Also that lets you buy the Berrys bullets @ $0.15 each or some hornady vmax which are superbly accurate

Have you slugged the barrel? A .311" 125 won't help in a .314" barrel.
You're lucky to find the Hornady's if they're the right diameter(.312" from Hornady. Most others are .311") for your rifle. They've suspended their manufacture.
Where you are matters too. Buying bullets on-line gets expensive quickly due to shipping costs.
Try Epp's.

Consider getting into casting your bullets... It is big time fun...

...I order mine through a sporting goods store...but find someone who wants to order for you...or cast your own...

Have you (or anyone else for that matter) ordered from them before? I am also in need of .303 (.311/.312) projectiles as I am down to my last 40.

I shoot events with the folks that run the business. They are good folks that are looking to do this for a long time to come so they aren't going to mess around with you. It's a modest but proper business. He's got a couple or three serious casting machines and similar investment in lubrisizers and the like.

But as always when it comes to shipping you want to check with them as to what carriers they use and what the final price will be. Shipping something as heavy as cast lead can become shocking to say the least. Also ask what the rates are on bigger orders. Often you can amortize out a nasty shipping charge by buying more at only slightly higher shipping costs. And it's not like the stuff goes bad while sitting around. Maybe look at a group buy as a way to split out the shipping somewhat?

For plinking and target shooting those 150 GC bullets do look good.

I'm in the same boat. No one has any anywhere. I've looked high and low for them without luck. I think I'm going to end up resorting to casting my own.

I've ordered from them before with no issues. I didn't order .303, but they are good people.

Perfect, I am glad to hear about such a group of people! I'll see what they have to offer in terms of shipping costs as I suppose a bulk buy could be in order.

Hi, just getting started here. First post.

I bought a couple hundred of Woodleigh 215 Grain bullets for hunting from

http://www.tradeexcanada.com/conten...-303-british-215gr-weldcore-rn-sn-out-stock--

I don't exactly think they qualify as cheap though!

I haven't gotten round to reloading them yet, but I I will soon. I am a fan of heavy bullets travelling at around 2000 fps for a nice round with moderate recoil that will do a number on just about any North American game out to 250 yards. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

There used to be Dominion Ammo with 215 grain bullets, but I used my last one a few years back.

I still have a few boxes of those 215grain KKSP bullets. There should be a gloating emoticon.
