Smith & Wesson M&P 22 Question

Hi guys,

I have a question regarding my M&P 22....

After a session at the range, I clean the gun and a couple of days later when I try to pull the slide back, it is a little hard the first time only. After that, it is smooth. Does anyone know why it does that?

The first pull is a little hard because you are cocking the internal hammer.
