CZ and Sako aren't even in same league in terms of fit and finish.
Ya I agree. I will take a cz every day and use the other $2000 for loading components and glass then have a good time.

Because enough people will pay that much. You get those people to stop paying and Sako will find ways to make their rifles cheaper.
Why are Sako rifles so expensive compare to other European Rifles like CZ. They should be priced like a CZ. Whats so special about SAKO?
The first Sako i bought was in the early 80's. $375 for a barreled action

Good for you. If you went for the Axis, you could afford even more ammo.
I have been searching for Sako/Tikka barreled actions, coming up short in Canada. Area they available anywhere in Canada still?
To OP: Maybe they use better steel...
and then you could just buy one of the other brands because quality would go down the toilet on a sakoBecause enough people will pay that much. You get those people to stop paying and Sako will find ways to make their rifles cheaper.

"Other European Rifles"
CZ is one of the "bargain brands" in Europe. They're generally cheaper and of lower quality than most other European brands. Typically, "other" European brands are Mauser, Styer-Mannlicher, Sauer, Blaser, etc. You also have to realize that the market for hunting firearms in Europe is vastly different than here in North America. In Western Europe, hunting has always been an activity primarily partaken in by the aristocracy and the wealthy/upper classes. This means the rifles will be targeted to those with larger disposable incomes where appearances and tastes in goods are important to their social standing, as well as there is a general desire to obtain "luxury" goods.
