Hi everyone,

I recently aquired a Ruger MK2 Slab Side, and today took it apart to clean I noticed what might be two cracks where the barrel lug and the "upper" meet. I've drawn some red lines pointing to the area in question. I was wondering if someone could have a look at the pictures located here and tell me if this is normal, or if I have an issue that should be addressed. I've never owned a Ruger of any sort before, so this may be perfectly normal.

Pictures can be found by clicking here.

Thanks everyone,
Cal.

Slightly difficult to see on such a small pic, but you can see the shape of the underside of the barrel inside the action:

What am I looking at here? Is this from a Ruger MK2 Pistol?

Thanks,
Cal.

Those are integral suppressor ready barrels for all Ruger MK series pistols. Ignore the the front half (the spindly bit with the coarse thread) and look at the breech end. You'll notice that is looks exactly the same as the barrel on your pistol.

More detailed pictures of a removed Ruger MK series pistol barrel. The fifth picture should should very succinctly show that your pistol is perfectly normal.
