I have an opportunity to pick up a as new 77/22 9 (older gun). Are these good shooters and how would they compare for accuracy with a new model Browning T-Bolt?

I picked up a 77/22 the first year they came out. It is still my go to .22 for small game. It has shot more grouse and rabbits than any other of my .22's. Countless kids and adults have learned to shoot with it. Totally reliable and very accurate. I can't compare it with a Browning as I have never owned a T-Bolt however I can vouch for it's accuracy and durability. :)
 
I have one also. But I treat it as a safe queen and frequently toy with selling it- I know, I know, but I find it too pretty to use!
 
Congrats on your purchase I've had mine for 10 years and thousands of rounds through it and countless grouse later it is still running flawlessly my favorite 22 hope u have the same luck as me
