Father's Day Sale. RIA 10/22 22LR Clone, $199.95

I bought one of the pistols can't pass up a deal like that. I am curious to how this works when you fire a round does it eject the insert every time? The only way I can see this working is to use the insert sorta as a chamber.

To shoot 7.62 you would need a whole new slide assembly, the frame is the exact same, but because the rimfire cartridge does not fire for dead centre the swap needs more than just a barrel. The price of a new slide and barrel is more than a shipped 7.62 tokarev from wolverine supplies but for the money this .22 is a great deal.

Yes it's semi auto.. It uses inserts in the magizine due to the .22lr being much smaller then the 7.62, but how does it pick up the .22lr cartridge with or with out the insert does it eject the insert so you have to pick them up every time?

Each 22LR cartridge is placed in the insert, and loaded into the magazine. The gun then picks up the insert and chambers it, fires the 22LR cartridge, and ejects the insert and 22LR cartridge is still inside as well. I've only fired one of these Sportowy 22s once, and you have to be very careful because the cartridges get ejected pretty far and then you have to go look for them. They're pretty valuable. Without them the gun will not function.

It ejects the insert... the insert is scarcer than hens teeth to find... I've been waiting since Boxing Day for The Ammo Source to get the inserts in... I've bought some inserts from a guy on CGNs that makes them,, but they are stupid expensive... therefore the cheap price of the gun listed ,,,the Tokarev 22 does have the rare cool factor for the Tok colecter...
Hope this helps!

I have a 9mm and am not yet in a club, in Ontario using the day pass is an acceptable reason to own a restricted firearm according to our masters [not to far from being serious], you should be good to go

I shot a friend's Sportowy many years ago. Looking for the inserts hiding in the grass was a pain. At $130 taxed and shipped I had to order one for myself.

This is stupid.
I had to buy one.

Why can't I just say No?
It's a great price on something I don't need so of course I had to buy it.

Remember, it's going to take me 7-14 days to get all of the restricted firearms out from this sale....it's a lot of transfers to do so please be patient.
