Father's Day Sale. RIA 10/22 22LR Clone, $199.95

theres not many videos on the tt-33 .22lr
No but I put up a thread in the handgun section with a link ( I am not good at it so if it does not work just google it) that has really good pics of the gun both together and disassembled! If you know how to transfer the pics you can put them here or the other thread!!

Happy with my purchase i drove down from ottawa and picked up a crate of 39 and 400 762 54 for 316 taxes in.
Keep up with the awsome prices thanks

I purchased one of those TT-33 in 22LR this is my first restricted firearm. I checked the status of my order and its listed as processing with this in the comments it says this: The CFC transfer reference # for this transaction is: *******
You do not need to call the CFC to complete as this is a business transfer. The reference # is sent to you for your records only. what is meant by this? do i need to do anything?

Well...no paperwork as of yet, but the gun is waiting for me at the post office. I remember the CFO saying we don't need blanket ATTs to cover such things because they are relatively infrequent and we can always just easily call them to obtain an ATT for every non range movement because that is so easy. Well, I have been calling all day, every hour or so to do just that. And guess what? They are not answering the phone..."...leave a message and we will get back to you." An ATT, easily, whenever we need one with just a simple phone call, indeed. The Stones had it wrong...it should be "Under Their Thumb".

We still have a bunch of Sportowy's to ship. We sold 100's of them in less than 12 hrs. A bunch more went out today.

I think mine were shipped today not sure, Monday they said they couldn't combine my auction order cause they didn't have the transfers yet, I received them on the 23rd june,, now they are shipped and the auction items, not yet! oh well just trying to save shipping charges as they were almost half the cost f the items!
On another note, and this is not a fault at all of SFRC, but we pay tax on shipping when the taxes are already in on the stamps/boxes etc.!
I guess it is something we do very well in this country is taxing!! Wait till the Liberals get in, My wallet is screaming already!

Well, I finally got through to the CFO after calling for three days. It shouldn't take that long, but the system is working as it's architects intended. Still no paperwork, but at least I have the gun. Looking forward to giving it a whirl now. Thanks SFRC for passing on a great deal!

My pistol arrived today, very nice shape. My dad already had one he picked up in the 90s so I have his inserts to help me fit the new inserts. Thanks again for the awesome deal.

Sportowy

DO NOT chamber/cycle these inserts until after you've hand-fitted them to the barrel.

I got my Sportowy today. It looks great! (better than expected)
I dissembled & cleaned it...then I loaded the mag with the inserts & attempted to chamber an EMPTY round, by cycling, to see how they fit & decide how much fiddling they'll need. It was a chore to dislodge this little SOB.

The aluminum seems pretty soft so I doubt it'll take much elbow grease to get enough material off to the ideal profile, but do yourself a favour & hand fit them to the barrel 1st...with the barrel out...before you try to cycle the gun at all.

*side note* The slide looks like a stock slide with lugs that aren't even used by the .22 barrel. My suspicion is these could easily fire 7.62x25/9mm with a new barrel, trigger, & heavy spring? Anyone done this?

After trying to gracefully dislodge this little SOB, I decided to take the hit to my ego & just pull it with the pliers. Needless to say, this one will never be usable. So I have 7 inserts to fit now, rather than 8.
They taper too wide at the primer end & wedge into the chamber. The aluminum is VERY soft so I doubt it'll take much elbow grease to get enough material off, but do yourself a favour & hand fit them to the barrel 1st...with the barrel out...before you try to cycle the gun at all.

A cut and paste from the interwebs:

"I converted a Polish TT-33 "Sportowy" trainer which used 7.62X25 aluminum chamber inserts (with the .22 inside) and the standard Tok magazine to 9mm by fitting the 9mm barrel and relieving the breech face.
The breech face alteration was necessary to 'lower' the firing pin impact to centerfire."
