Took my FSN to the range the first time since installing my refinished, surplus wood furniture on it. Not sure why, but it was more fun with the old school wood furniture! It just looks, right (in my opinion). On the way out, a dude at the range asked "what do you have there (he didn't recognize it because it had no mag inserted)" - FSN - and I brought it over to him. "Where did you get it" - told him you can't find these anymore. We spoke a few words about the CZ fiasco and he said my VZ looked "Awesome". I think it does too :D (especially for the price I paid for the wood on the EE).

I already have 'black rifles' with rails and optics, so I figured I didn't need another one. This one looks at peace with the 'old school' wood look. What do you guys think?

Going to shoot outdoors in Chatham soon, will try to take some outdoor pics and vids with my VZ58.

Maybe I just love wood furniture, swapped all my shotguns polymer furniture for wood as well.

Love it! I'd love to find the K version FSN. Love my 223 CSA 11.8 in black and my NR x39 in wood. Eastern Bloc designs seem to be the most appealing looks wise.

The FSN Krink... that was the holy grail of the FSN's, from what I've read. I'm sure they're out there.

Still looking for a wooden VZ58 bayonet (not beaver barf) if anyone has one they are willing to sell. Are the bayo lugs between the CZ and FSN the same? Anyone know for certain?

Dlask was selling some for $28, they are sold out.

I'm a fan of the "beaver barf" myself.
The wood looks good but the "beaver barf" is unique to the VZ's and I like it!

To each their own. Beaver barf is probably the ugliest furniture I've ever seen on any firearm. Wood scraps glued together (and you can see the glue), yuck. I sanded mine and stained it Ebony just to see how it would come out, still didn't look much better. Some guys just paint it black. Glad I found the wood.

I doubt I'd like the Barf on a parkerized Garand or a blued Winchester 94.... but somehow on the VZ with that epoxy paint job.... it just looks right too me. Luckily we don't all need to like the same thing in order to be happy.
I'm glad your glad you found the wood. :dancingbanana:

Awesome Man!
Im still begging all over the internet for the ak wood for my 2 fsn's....no luck yet ;(

I love my wood one the most
corwin arms may have some wood left

Corwin Arms stuff is long gone. Contacted them and they said their source was exhausted. ^ Nice wood fellas!

Love the cz's with wood! Looking good guys. OP have you thought about making wood panels for your bayonet

I don't currently have a bayonet, so I'd prefer to buy one that already has the wood. I've never tried to fabricate anything, just have been refinishing old furniture. Pretty new at that as well.
