If you ask some: none
If you ask others: disfiguration

you tell me

there's a sticky about it and I'm still not clear.

why .223 Wylde then?

Are you dense or just to good to do a little reading? The Tavors are 5.56, however they are marked .223 in order to export a non-military chambered rifle. Our Tavors, US Tavors, and IDF Tavors barrels are all made the same just at different lengths in Israel.

All of this info is spread around in numerous places on CGN amd other parts of the web.

Pressures are different. Some .223 rifles cant stand the pressure.

5.56 rifles have no problem with .223

This is also true of 7.62x51 and .308

Bullsh*t, the pressure difference is minimal, any gun that detonates because of it is poor quality. I as well as many others have run 5.56 in .223 chambers for many a years without an issue.

Play nice boys. ;)
Don't be bummed, as long as it can still shoot into space it doesn't matter which chamber it has. Even though it is actually a 5.56 chamber.

I think when I want your opinion (seeing as you bash everyone that asks a question about a TAVOR or the Timney Trigger) - I'll ask T.V.Presspass..............

Just for fun I'll tell you what I tell the truckers that come through the plant and don't want to follow proceedures because "I've been doing it this way for years".
Just because you've been doing it for years doesn't mean you've been doing it right for years. ;)
Oh how I've missed our banter. Where have you been hiding?

I don't really see what the difference is since almost all ammo I find in the local shops is marked .223 which no matter how you look at it is safe in any of the 223/556 and variant chambers. Other than the junk Norc stuff there isn't that much 5.56 ammo available around here unless you go out looking for it (yes you can find it but 223 is way more common).
The only rifle I own that actually has a .223 chamber is my Remington 700 and there is no reason to ever waste barrel life shooting bulk junk through that one.

The only 2 threads I have really done any "bashing" on are the Timney thread and the wanstalls one. And on the Timney one it was all being directed at Timney. Why? Because I got in line early and I am still waiting for a possible unconfirmed working trigger to MAYBE show up in the middle of July.
