S&W 627 PC...Wow....

S&W Performance Center Revolvers have one of the best triggers in both DA & SA out of the box....IMO.
I finally convinced my friend to sell me his 5" S&W PC 625:) I`ll be posting pics once the Ontario CFO bless`s the transaction.

JP.

Caramel…did you give the iron sights on your 627 a chance before putting on the RSA? I find the Gold bead quick to pick up without the added weight of an optic.
As you can see in the pic the bead stands out even in low light.

I take 5 minutes to put them back, i will try them for sure, i am a fan of red dot that why ( eyesight is not what it use to be for open sights )... JP.

Yesterday got the first 100 full load 357 mag out of my 627 PC, the recoil is very tame, the trigger in DA is very light, in SA it is a miracle, me and another member did share that first outing and the WOW factor was there, this is a great revolver... I took out my rail and RD, next time out i am going with the open sights... Very happy of my new aquisition... JP.

Another nice session at the range, the 627 with the open sight, no more red dot for this revolver... This revolver is fast becoming the best of my herd, did share a couple of hundred rounds with some members... This was true consensus of the incredible performance of this 627... JP.

Like the bead better than red dot?
Or like the reduced weight?

She a definetly a beauty. Guy that works at my LGS let me handle his 627. Very nice!!

The bead is of very fast aquisition, and groups at 17 yards were the same, maybe even a wee better, those open sight are just the best i have yet, the weight is negligeable... JP.

i get that JP.

that gun is so much fun in open sight trim . was a world of difference with the decocker release adjust. screw finely tuned ,a dream in SA, very smooth and progressive in DA. both SA and DA are very pleasant .

i like the brass insert of the front post. it makes reaquisition a breeze on follow shots. grip is perfect, nearly allowing for a semi auto stance .

perfect gun for steel ,probably for PPC too.

i've never found revos appealing, now i've shot a PC i'm thinking about getting at least one myself.

I to, now that i have tasted the Performance Center quality will try to get one brand new one in 44 mag the Performance Center 629 Competitor 6 inch Weighted barrel... I will be sending email to my favorite dealers to see if they can include one on their next S&W order... JP.

that would be crazy!

i wonder how the .44 mag would hold it's line VS the 627 .

i suspect with the PC trigger and a comp barrel the .44 might be as fast .

it's amazing how the 627 front post return on target quick , i put this on the great balance of that gun VS the caliber. perfect blend.

the .44 is quite a torque monster to tame for fast follow shots , but with a comp , the PC trigger and the wrists correctly locked (lol) , it's gonna be fast.

JP, i see another full day of sheer fun testing a new toy in sight .:dancingbanana:

It seem we do a lot of those sheer fun days lately... We only live once... Why not... PS: Shooting a 44 mag is like taking off the traction control on the Vette, it doesnt feel exactly like taking it off on the Hyunday... Cheers. JP.

here's the beast!

the weight added on the barrel shows some promises, among them a fast return on target is intended. can't wait to see that one.

JP, I know you hate the wait with IRUNGUNS LLC, but if you go on gunbroker and get an account, the world is your oyster. I have done it once and will do it again. I hate being held hostage by our dealers in Canada telling us what they can or cannot get, or when they can get it. There is no way in the world our Canadian dealers will get the Dan Wesson Guardian I've had my eye on for some time now. However, there are always a couple on gunbroker for sale. The wait is torture because an FFL dealer will have it transferred to IRUNGUNS in a couple of days, and then it is a waiting game. You can call Tommy's Gun LLC in MO, they are high volume and sell a lot on gunbroker. See what they have if you can't stand the wait on anything. T: 417-462-7791

And if you call Tommy's directly, you won't even need a gunbroker account probably. All they need is the paperwork e-mailed from IRUNGUNS LLC to do the transfer.

Thanks for the infos, next week, i will give him a call and see from there, for sure having one in a month would be icing on the cake, i am having 2 rifles builded by a big house in the States and they wont get to Clay at least for 10-12 month, patience is a virtue... JP.

BTW i talked to prophet river's boss today asking for import costs.....seems pretty easy at first glance. i need 2 KKM barrels , can get them delivered to their FFL associate in washington in three days. i just wonder the time frame from there ; getting 2 barrels delivered to a US FFL isn't an issue.

It seem a month to 6 weeks for rifles is the norm, maybe for smaller items, the turn around is shorter... JP.
