Well I just got my ruger gunsite scout, after 120 rounds the bore is covered in copper. I have tried hoppes copper solvent and it took a little bit of copper out but the rifling is still covered. Even left it over night soaking and still nothing. What does everyone use?

Here's another plug for Wipeout. Not often you get EXCELLENT and CONVENIENT in the same can, but with Wipeout you do.

Hoppes is useless for removing solvent. Cr-10, and Sweets 7.62 work well, and KG-12 is likely the best that I have used. Wipeout works, but it isn't fast.

All my cleaning products are Remington or Hoppe's 9 and I have no problems other then the Remington gun grease is not up to what I need for my M305. really depends on what kind for firearm you have and what alloy you ammo is what cleans my rifles I don't think will cut it on a Savage 110 BA or a C14 timberwolf...

Another vote for KG12. Plain and simple. Look up the copper tests others have done. Nothing beats it.

Never used it but I never have heard bad things about it other then making people woosie... nothing an opened window and or a good fan wont fix. I know I have found all kinds of uses for Remington action cleaner around the house.

KG12 has the least odour of any solvent I've used. It has no ammonia.

CR10 or Butch's Boreshine might do that to you.

Another vote for WipeOut. Almost zero scrubbing required. Spray the foam, let is sit a few hours, run a few patches and you're done. The sh!t just works. Stay away from CopperZilla or FrogLube solvent, they do nothing.
