My buddy is going to build me an AR using his companies lower and then whatever I want for the rest. Other than being 5.56 and a 12" barrel, I really havent made my wish list. He said I can put literally anything I want on it and since he is Stateside, I am wondering what the best of the best is out there as far as components go. I already have a 16" KAC SR15 so this would be my short fun gun. Just to give you an example of the caliber of work he is producing, here is his latest AR build.

T1 Aimpoint with 2 MOA dot, Keymod rail, Noveske Barrel, Comp or flaming pig, Dbal, Troy/Knights short vert Grip, or the new BCM that attaches directly to the Keymod rail, BUIS of your choice, Magnifier if you want it. Stripped down UBR stock for Balance.

Depends on what you are using it for really.

Range drills mostly but lots of movement hence why my 16" is too long in some instances.
I do like noveske, that is a good idea.
I was thinking about one of those collapsible PDW stocks like on the H&K shorties.
I would only have him slap optics on it if the price was remarkably cheaper getting it in the US.

I've doing a bit of building lately and went with vltor uppers and everything else noveske besides DD bcg, lpk & AAC flash hider & brakes. The AAC brake is pretty sweet no muzzle jump at all. For optics last night I tried on every QD optic my range had offer on my new DD mk18 before settling on a eotech exps. I tried every offering from aimpoint, trijicon and eotech, for field of view and what suited me eo was best, I really wanted to put a reflex on as my acogs have been nothing but good to me. The h1/t1 and reflex just didn't see as well through fov. Second place was the aimpoint m4 and for the money the aimpoint pro almost got the nod I just see to many mk18's with them on at my range and wanted something different. I agree with stripped ubr that's what I'm running and a K+ grip. The new magpul grip with less angle is really nice too, think it's a miad. This is just my observation and opinion though.

Sounds like a KAC CQB SBR 11.5" type build is what your after.

If it was my build to do, I'd consider a BCM Lower if a Noveske wasn't readily avail. Maybe a KAC URX 3.1 in place of the Keymod as I'm personally not a fan of them just yet. AAC 51t (should've never sold the one I had) or Battlecomp 1.0 up front. BCM Mod 1 grip and a CTR out back to keep it nice & light. EO XPS 2.0 since your already settled on the Optics. Overall it should nice, light & maneuverable as per your requirements.

Is the Kryptek Dip in the mix also?
